SwitchGrade - Blackout
WHICH VERSION DO YOU NEED? Go to the Compatibility Guide to find out.
"This device could be a game-changer for many bikes and riders of all types."
"One seat position isn't actually the optimum position most of the time… sometimes on the super steep climbs you've got to get your weight right over the front and at the same time keep some pressure on the saddle so I think this is a really cool idea."
Before this device was invented, you’re stuck with a seat angled at 0 degrees. Positioning your seat permanently at an angle best for climbing compromises your ride going downhill and vice versa. Switchgrade solved this conundrum the same way the dropper post solved one of the most annoying issue with the rigid seatpost. Switchgrade is definitely a “must have”.
If you got the money to spare and hit bike parks or dh runs often, this is a good product. A bit pricey tho.
Awesome climber , nad no more on descents(short inseam guys)
Maybe could use a button instead of reaching but pretty much like it 👍
Material finish is excellent,
Assembly looks excellent,
Operation is fantastic,
Customer service was great,
It’s not a product for everyone, but that’s only because many haven’t realized the benefits of climbing with your seat tilted down.
Added benefit is being able to tilt it back for the decent.
There’s plenty of room for an SL version, but I appreciate the robust build.
Would buy again, might do for the new bike as well.
I had high hopes for this and yet it exceeded them. Really makes difference whem climbing and descending. Climbing feels more natural in negative saddle angle and in ”fun mode” saddle just disappears completely out of the way. Easy to use and feels robust
